“Idealism increases in direct proportion to one’s distance from the problem.” – John Galsworthy
Last week I put the wrong date on my post. A silly mistake, the kind that I try not to make. As a visual person, I often focus on the images not the words. Writing doesn’t come naturally to me, but I’m here on Medium working on it. That’s all I can do–try and get better at the things I’m not so good at. There are a lot of these, it’s wide open. Around the time I started riding a skateboard, progress became really important to me. Learning to skate is one of the most frustrating, painful and fun things in the world. You learn to embrace the small victories no matter how minor they might seem. Falling (AKA: failing) is learning, and with each misstep you get a little close to landing it (AKA: success) and rolling away with a smile.
