A few years ago, If I told you that you could just think of an idea and a computer could turn that into a photo-realistic image you’d call it science fiction. We’ve all seen this stuff now: ChatGPT, Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, and others. There are so many headlines about the computers taking creative jobs and almost universally they are shallow and don’t bring any insight into the tools. We’re currently in the shallow end right now. We don’t know how to swim and yeah, it’s a little scary. If you don’t learn how, yes–you might find yourself in a difficult situation. These tools require new skills and there is a learning curve. It’s not that different from other tools in your arsenal. Don’t let the noise deter you.
